Department of Licenses & Inspections Launches Online License Renewal System: eClipse
License holders can renew licenses online within 30 days of their expiration date using the eClipse system.
 

This is part of the Department of L & I’s move to an online license and permitting system throughout 2015.

NOTE that applications for new business licenses, as well as for new and renewed trade licenses, are not yet available online. Current licenses renewals available online are:

In order to renew a license online, license holders will need to create an account using an email address. Once the business license renewal has been processed, users will be able to print an invoice and license certificate online. Online payments can be made via credit card or e-check, however they require a small fee. Other forms of payment, such as cash or money order, must be submitted in person to the Revenue Department in the Concourse of the Municipal Services Building (Philadelphia, PA 19102) and will delay license issuance.
